As summer weather approach, my thoughts turn to longer days, warmer nights and the sound of soccer players that fill our camps every week. If your children have been campers with us before, changes are they already started counting down to the beginning of the camp season.
STBW is having the residential camps at Madeira School, located in McLean, the school offers 376 acres self-contained campus along the Potomac river and just minutes from the nation's capital; it is an ideal setting for summer soccer experiences. The campus also offer acres of wooden trails, a pond and access to the Potomac River, excellent for outdoor exploration. Many soccer fields (outdoor and indoor) and indoor pool ensure that even rainy days will be filled with fun and lots of soccer.
Groups:
Players are placed in groups of approximately their own age and level. Group sizes average 10 to 15 players per trainer, and Soccer the Brazilian Way makes every effort to fullfil grouping requests.
Staff:
Soccer The Brazilian Way sets the industry standard for coaching and training services, all of our staff have a flawless safety record that is founded on experience and expertise. Our trainers are former professional players from Brazil and will bring to the players and exciting, fast-paced and highly skilled "Brazilian Style" of soccer.
Activities:
Each group schedule changes daily to provide maximum variety. Activities vary and include: Soccer, Futsal (indoor soccer), swimming, games, movie night, sail through the forest on a zip wire, 3V3 tournament, bonfire under the stars, trail hiking, contest of the day, radar gun to measure the power of your kick shots, scrimmages and more.
Food Services:
The camp furnishes breakfast, lunch and dinner, prepared "healthy gourmet" meals by Sodexho Food Service, in the newly renovated, air conditioned dining hall. We will also offer a cookout one of the nights.
Dormitories:
Players will be roomed by 2 or 3 persons per dorm. Our coaching staff wil have female and male trainers on site for the week of the camp. There is one bathroom per floor with mutiple toilets and shower. Each dorm has three floors, and accommodates about thirty players per dorm. The school has 24-hour security and only one gate to go in and out of campus with a guard on duty the full day and night.
What to bring:
Individual bed sheets, pillow, cleats, shin guards, indoor shoes with flat sole for Futsal, running shoes, bathing-suit, towel, sunscreen lotion.
If you have any questions we encourage you to contact us by calling 301-996-GOAL (4625) or email us at gus@soccerstbw.com. We look forward to share the fun and excitement of the summer season with you.
